סיכום:"The CIA in Ecuador turns to newly released CIA and other government surveillance documents to write a history of the Ecuadorian left between the Second World War and the 1960s. Although understudied, an understanding of the left's organizational trajectory in Latin America between the Second World War and the 1959 Cuban Revolution is critical to gaining a fuller appreciation for the subsequent and better-studied heightened period of militant mobilizations in the 1960s. This study concentrates specifically on Ecuador, both to look at the novelties of that case study as well as for the light it can shed on larger regional and global patterns"--
