Robin McLaurin Williams (* 21. Juli 1951 in Chicago, Illinois; † 11. August 2014 in Paradise Cay, Kalifornien) war ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler und Komiker. Er wurde 1978 durch die Sitcom ''Mork vom Ork'' bekannt. Der Oscar- und fünfmalige Golden-Globe-Preisträger spielte sowohl tragikomische ''(Good Morning, Vietnam, Der Club der toten Dichter, Patch Adams)'' als auch psychopathische Rollen ''(One Hour Photo, Insomnia – Schlaflos)'', wirkte aber auch in Familienfilmen ''(Flubber, Jumanji, Mrs. Doubtfire – Das stachelige Kindermädchen, Die Chaoscamper)'' mit.
