Le Cato Institute (français : Institut Caton) est un ''think tank'' libertarien américain basé à Washington. Il a été créé initialement sous le nom de Charles Koch Foundation en 1974 par Ed Crane, Murray Rothbard et Charles G. Koch. En juillet 1976, la Charles Koch Foundation est renommé en Cato Institute.
